Interview with Jonathan Norgaard:

1.What’s your training history?

Just finished first year of transformation program. 3 twelve Week programs.

2.What’s your favourite exercise?

Split squats (love hate relationship) and bench press (my favourite).

3.What’s your favourite motivational quote?

My tattoo... “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

4.What advice would you give to someone who wants to achieve results like you? 

Believe in yourself and stay committed, even when you fuck up. Stick with it.

5.In your opinion what is the most important aspect of a transformation?

Your mental commitment is massive. Also, the people you are doing it with.


What did you learn from this experience?

Consistency and commitment pay results. Sticking to a food program is fucking hard.

What did you struggle with the most on this journey?

Ah...food program and realizing how my social life impacts my health choices.

What’s the biggest lesson you learned? 

Diet is everything.

What have you lost and gained during your transformation?

I have lost some body fat...and gained some muscle. I have lost my reluctance to get back into the gym. I have gained a friend in you Simon.
