Joel Kaiser's Story

"One of the most rewarding parts of the journey has been seeing the results of all the hard work I’ve put in"

An Interview with Joel Kaiser

1.What’s your training history?

I began training with Simon at Sim's Gym January 14, 2019. Beyond that, I had tried many different martial arts and cardio classes around the city of Victoria but never found anything that I felt comfortable with.

2.What’s your favourite exercise?

I do not have a favourite exercise, but I enjoy arms day a lot just because the arms and chest are the areas, I would like to improve the most.

3.What’s your favourite motivational quote?

My favourite motivational quote is by Bruce Lee and is mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them. I believe that owning your mistakes is one of the most courageous things you can do. It means being truthful to yourself about who you are, what you've done and how to move on and grow.

4.What advice would you give to someone who wants to achieve results like you?

I would tell anyone wanting to achieve results to make sure you have a solid "why". Without a proper reason and drive for what you're doing, you will not be able to sustain any results.

5.In your opinion what is the most important aspect of a transformation?

I don't think there is just one aspect that is above all else, but I do think your "why" needs to be at the top. The truth is there are many aspects to a transformation. The food intake, exercise, mental health and recovery are all essential to a transformation.

6.What did you learn from this experience?

I learned and am continually learning so much from this experience. I have learned self-control and discipline as well as skills in the kitchen such as food prep and how to make things FDN. I have learned a ton of exercises and stretching techniques. I've learned how to be part of a community of people with common goals. I've learned to love myself and how to use that self-love to help others. I have learned how to respect a trainer and how to respect myself. I am constantly learning and growing and am thrilled to continue learning and growing.

7.What did you struggle with the most on this journey?

I think one of the biggest challenges for me was bringing the eating and sleep patterns of the week into the weekend. The weekend is a tough time where you celebrate being done the work week, but health doesn't take a day off. It was tough to learn how to bring my healthy environment with me on the road as I travelled for work and for pleasure throughout the year.

8.What is the best part of this journey?

One of the most rewarding parts of the journey has been seeing the results of all the hard work I’ve put in. It's also given me such a boost of confidence that I feel like a new man. Gaining confidence and self-love that I did not have before has been life changing.

9.What are 3 things that helped you get through?

The first and foremost thing that helped me get through was the incredible trainer, Simon, that has always been there for me every step of the way. No matter what I’m going through he is always there to help me with anything I could possibly need.

The second thing would be my wonderful partner, Lauren, who has been there for me the whole time. Patience from partner and trainer has been 2 of the most important things.

The third would be my "why". The whole reason I’m doing this is for family. Knowing that they need me and also me wanting to show them that you can achieve anything you put your mind to has been a powerful motivator.

10.What’s the biggest lesson you learned?

I learned not to beat myself up when I backslide. You truly can get right back up and get back at it if you're motivated enough. Your results don't disappear instantly just because you eat something unhealthy and you don't instantly lose your muscles because you didn't lift weights this week. If you really want results, do your best and never beat yourself up when you take time off.

11.What have you lost and gained during your transformation?

I have lost a lot of self-hate and gained a ton of self-love. I've also lost fat and gained lean muscle. I've lost old habits and gained new, sustainable habits and skills in the kitchen. I've gained friends and a community of people that have similar goals. I've gained a trainer, a friend and a powerful ally in my day to day life. I've gained control of my life. I've gained a new outlook on the future. I've literally gained years of my life. I've gained everything.

12.Testimony?

Simon Tetley and the MP Body Transformation Program have changed my life. I had not entered a gym in years and my confidence was at an all-time low. From the moment I met Simon I knew the program was for me based on his approach to myself as a person and his positive attitude about this amazing program.

Since completing a program and a half everything has changed for me. I have lost weight and gained muscle all while eating the most food I've ever eaten in my life. It has also given me a sense of community and I have become an integral part of a fantastic group of people who train together with common goals.

This program has given me more self-confidence than ever as well as skills in the kitchen and has helped me give up bad habits and replace them with habits that will keep me in shape for the rest of my life. It is something I cannot live without and I highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking to transform their body and their mind.
